We were alerted by a recent slideshow on FastCompany.com to a cool bit of medical technology called GlowCaps.

GlowCaps are prescription bottle toppers equipped with wireless chips that make it incredibly difficult for patients to forget to take their medication.

Besides alerting patients to dosage times with light and sound – or even a phone call if necessary – GlowCaps also email a weekly report to the patient and/or designated caregiver, coordinate refills, and mail a printed report to the patient and/or doctor.
